How to find your Ejari number

Your Ejari number is on the registration certificate that Dubai Land Department issued when the tenancy was registered. There are three reliable places to look for that certificate: the confirmation email, the Dubai REST app, and whoever filed the registration for you. If none of them has it, a trustee centre can retrieve it.

Where to look, in the order that usually works fastest:

• Search your email for the registration confirmation. The certificate is attached or linked, and the number is printed on it.
• Open Dubai REST and look under your contracts. If the tenancy was filed through the app, it is listed there.
• Ask the party who filed it. In a managed building that is the property management company, which registers with its own Ejari access, so the tenant may never have had the certificate directly.

Worth knowing. Have the DEWA premise number ready before you go looking. Every route back to the certificate pairs the contract number with the nine digit DEWA number or with the municipality and sub numbers, so finding one without the other still leaves you stuck.

What this does not mean

Having the number does not mean the registration is current. The number survives on an expired contract, and a new tenancy gets a new number rather than reusing the old one. If what you actually need is proof that the registration is live today, download the certificate and read its dates.
