How to download your Ejari certificate

Ask a consultantDubai Land Department has a public form called Download Rental Certificate (Ejari) on its website. You enter your Ejari contract number, add either the DEWA premise number or the municipality number with its sub number, pass the captcha, and the certificate downloads. You do not need an account and you do not pay anything.
The form asks for two things because one number alone would let anyone pull a stranger’s tenancy. The pairing is the check.
- Open the Download Rental Certificate (Ejari) page on the Land Department website.
- Type in the Ejari contract number.
- Choose which second number you have. The DEWA premise number is nine digits; the alternative is the municipality number plus the sub number.
- Complete the captcha and download the file.
If you registered through the Dubai REST app, the certificate is also sitting in the app under your contracts, and that is usually the faster route because the numbers are already filled in.
What this does not mean
Downloading the certificate does not renew anything. The file shows the registration as it stands, including one that has already expired, so a fresh download of an old contract will not satisfy a landlord, a school or a visa desk. If the property is managed by a company with its own Ejari access, the current certificate is the one the company filed, not an older copy you may still have.
Renewing is a separate step, covered in how to renew Ejari online. For the whole tenancy process see our guide to renting in Dubai.
