About the UAE Official Business Resources Dataset
Setting up and running a business in the UAE involves a defined set of official portals: federal authorities for identity, tax and labour matters, and emirate-level platforms for licensing, investment and company verification. Knowing which authority owns which process - and which website is actually the official one - saves real time and avoids the third-party lookalike sites that crowd search results for these services.
This dataset maps the key official UAE business resources: the operating authority, category (tax, identity, visa, business licensing, company verification, employment, banking complaints, customs), the portal's primary use case and who it serves. Every URL points to the authority's own domain - government and authority portals only, with third-party services excluded by policy.
Official portals do change: one entry in this dataset, the National Economic Register, moved from its old domain to growth.gov.ae during our verification, and one commonly referenced name ("Dubai Business Directory") was excluded entirely after research showed no official portal by that name exists. Each row carries a last_reviewed date; for anything critical, confirm on the official site.

How this dataset is built and verified
Methodology. Each portal URL was verified against the authority's own domain, cross-referenced with the UAE government's official portal (u.ae) where direct access was limited. Only government and authority domains are included; third-party services are excluded by policy.
Sources. Primary sources: official UAE government and authority websites, including u.ae cross-references. "Dubai Business Directory" was excluded after research showed no official portal by that name exists.
