RAKEZ Visa Cost, Application Steps and Status Check

RAKEZ, the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone, publishes the price of each visa service on its own service pages at rakez.com rather than in one dated tariff. This page collects those prices, explains the application steps and shows how to check a RAKEZ visa status, both on RAKEZ’s systems and with the federal Identity and Citizenship authority (ICP). Everything was read on 4 October 2026; the RAKEZ pages carry no date of their own, so treat the figures as published on that day.

New visa prices

The times are RAKEZ’s own figures for the whole process up to the visa and Emirates ID. The entry permit, an e-visa, is valid for 60 days from issue. Biometrics in Dubai are available only on the VIP package.

Renewal and cancellation

The applicant must be inside the UAE to renew. Cancelling from outside the UAE costs more: AED 770 for an employee and AED 1,070 for an investor on normal processing. RAKEZ says visas cannot be transferred between RAKEZ companies; a new application is needed.

Dependant visas

• New: AED 3,375 for a spouse or a child over 18, AED 3,075 for a child under 18, AED 1,505 for a newborn inside the UAE (AED 2,005 urgent); 9 working days.
• Deposit: AED 3,310 per dependant if the sponsor is an investor or partner.
• Salary: the sponsor needs at least AED 4,000 a month, or AED 3,000 with company accommodation.
• Renewal: AED 1,705 (AED 1,405 for a child under 18) on normal processing.

Costs around the visa

• Immigration registration (E-Channel): AED 2,200 once plus a refundable AED 5,050 deposit, then AED 1,200 a year.
• Medical test at RAKEZ’s medical centre: AED 300 form typing and AED 30 examination, AED 500 for urgent processing. It is mandatory from age 18.
• Health insurance sold by RAKEZ: AED 350, 450 or 750 a year.
• Workers Protection Insurance: replaces the former AED 2,000 employee visa deposit, from AED 130 to AED 495 depending on salary and cover period.
• Emirates ID replacement: AED 585; a late renewal fine of AED 20 a day applies after the grace period, up to AED 1,000.

How many visas a facility allows

A flexi desk allows one visa. A serviced office allows two visas per desk, up to four. RAKEZ’s coworking packages allow one, two or four. For standard offices, warehouses and land RAKEZ says only that they are eligible for residence visas, without a number. The licence prices and packages are on our RAKEZ licence cost page.

How to apply

1. Apply online through RAKEZ Portal 360 with a passport valid for at least six months, a photo on a white background and approved health insurance. Employees in medium and senior roles need an attested degree, and some nationalities need a good conduct certificate; RAKEZ added ten nationalities to that rule from 20 July 2026.
2. Receive the entry permit and enter the UAE within 60 days.
3. Complete the medical test (from age 18) and biometrics (first time, from age 15).
4. Receive the residence visa and Emirates ID digitally in the ICP app.

How to check a RAKEZ visa status

• On RAKEZ: the RAKEZ e-services tracking page asks for your service request (SR) number and shows the latest update. Portal 360 lists all your company’s requests, and renewals can also be followed in the RAKEZ mobile app.
• On ICP: the UAE government portal u.ae (updated 15 July 2026) says visas for Ras Al Khaimah are tracked on the ICP website. In ICP smart services, choose application tracking and enter the application number, which starts with 010. The Emirates ID status page accepts the application number or the Emirates ID number. ICP’s toll-free number is 600522222.

What RAKEZ does not publish

• A single dated tariff for visas; prices sit on separate service pages.
• A separate Emirates ID fee inside a new visa, or an establishment card fee under that name.
• The number of visas for offices, warehouses and land.
• Whether VAT applies to the employee visa price, which carries no VAT note.
