The financial guarantee is the line that surprises people. It is a deposit rather than a charge, so it is not part of the cost of the visa in the way the issuance fee is, but it does have to be found up front when it is required.
ICP puts the completion time for the service at two days. Extending later has its own price: AED 100 to apply, and AED 500 to extend an entry.
What this does not mean
These are the government’s fees, not the price you will be quoted. Airlines, hotels and travel agents arrange visit visas and add their own charges, and a sponsor in the country may face other costs. A visit visa is also not a tourist visa: the two are separate services with separate prices, and are covered separately.
