Full-time content creator, crossed AED 375k trailing twelve-month largely from foreign-sourced Patreon and YouTube payouts. The rest is one-off brand deals with UAE and non-UAE brands. The mandatory registration window is running and I am not confident which of my income lines sit inside the VAT scope versus which qualify for zero-rating.
Patreon and YouTube treat me as a service provider to foreign viewers and platforms. Brand deals split between UAE corporates (standard 5%) and foreign brands (zero-rated if the rules apply cleanly). Registration itself I can probably handle. What I cannot do alone is categorise the revenue properly for the threshold and the first return.
Need a specialist who has registered creators recently, understands how Patreon, YouTube ad revenue, memberships and brand deals sit against the VAT rules, and will document the treatment for me so next quarter is mechanical rather than a fresh decision. Happy to share the full payout statements on a first call.
