Lead Generation for Service Firms in the UAE: What a Client Costs

Quick answer

On Google Ads, businesses paid on average USD 9.87 per click for “company formation in dubai”, USD 7.67 for “accounting services in dubai” and USD 6.38 for “pro services dubai” (Semrush, UAE database, 5 October 2026). If 1 in 25 clicks became an enquiry (an illustration, not a measured rate), one company formation enquiry would cost about AED 906. A Google Business Profile and a LinkedIn Company Page are free, SEO is slow (Google says some changes take several months to show), and lead generation agencies do not publish their prices. On a pay-per-lead marketplace such as Emirae you pay AED 100 to 800 per client who opened their contacts to you, with no subscription (emirae.pro/pricing, read on 5 October 2026).

This guide compares the ways a UAE service firm (accounting, audit, company formation, PRO, VAT, legal or visa work) can get new clients, with what each channel costs, how fast it works and how much you control. Prices and platform rules were read on 5 October 2026, and search figures come from Semrush, UAE database, 5 October 2026.

Google Ads charges per click. You set a maximum cost per click, and Google’s help pages say the actual amount you pay is “often” lower, because the auction charges what is needed to beat the advertiser below you (Google Ads Help, “Actual cost-per-click”, read on 5 October 2026).

The table shows what advertisers paid on average per click in the UAE for the searches clients use when they look for these services. AED figures are our conversion at the fixed rate of AED 3.6725 per US dollar published by the Central Bank of the UAE (daily rates, June 2026).

Search phrase Searches per month (UAE) Cost per click, USD Cost per click, AED (our conversion)

From cost per click to cost per enquiry

A click is not a client, and nobody publishes how many clicks become enquiries for UAE service firms. As an illustration only: if 1 in 25 clicks becomes an enquiry, the cost per enquiry is 25 times the cost per click.

Search phrase Cost per click, AED Illustrated cost per enquiry (1 in 25 clicks), AED
company formation in dubai AED 36.25 AED 906.19
accounting services in dubai AED 28.17 AED 704.20
pro services dubai AED 23.43 AED 585.76
Swipe to see the full table

Our arithmetic: USD 9.87 x 25 = USD 246.75; USD 246.75 x 3.6725 = AED 906.19. The other rows use the same method.

Google Ads cost per click, UAE service searches: company formation in dubai AED 36.25; vat registration dubai AED 31.25; business setup in dubai AED 30.45; accounting services in dubai AED 28.17; pro services dubai AED 23.43; law firms in dubai AED 9.81
Average per click in AED at 3.6725 per US dollar

SEO and your own website: free per click, slow to start

Organic search costs nothing per visit but takes steady work: one page per service and emirate, price ranges, clear contact details and answers to the questions clients ask. Google’s own SEO Starter Guide says that some changes take effect in a few hours while others could take several months, and that you should usually wait a few weeks before judging whether a change worked (Google Search Central, read on 5 October 2026). Google does not publish how long a new site needs to rank for competitive phrases, and we will not invent a figure for it.

Treat SEO as the channel that lowers your cost per client later, not the one that fills next month. The guides on starting a consulting business in Dubai and opening an accounting firm in Dubai show where to start.

Google Business Profile: free, but only for a real office

Google states that creating a Business Profile and listing your business on Google is free (Google Business Profile page, read on 5 October 2026). The profile appears in Google Search and Maps, where clients compare reviews, opening hours and photos. Two rules matter for UAE firms that start small:

  • A virtual office (a rented address you do not work from) is not eligible for a Business Profile.
  • An office in a co-working space is allowed only if it has clear signage, receives customers during business hours and is staffed by your team in those hours.

Directories and listings

Directories are searched too: “dubai business directory” had 390 searches a month and “uae business directory” 320 (Semrush, UAE database, 5 October 2026). Most directories offer a free basic profile and sell priority placement. Clutch and GoodFirms both run “Top Accounting Firms in Dubai” pages, and Yellow Pages UAE offers a free listing alongside paid listings. What each one charges, as stated on its own pages, is set out in our comparison of B2B lead platforms and directories in the UAE.

LinkedIn: free pages, paid ads by auction

LinkedIn states that Company Pages and Service Pages are free, and that with a Service Page any LinkedIn member can message you for free about your services and request a proposal (LinkedIn Marketing Solutions, read on 5 October 2026). LinkedIn ads are sold through an auction: your bid competes with other advertisers who want the same audience, and you choose the type of activity you pay for (LinkedIn advertising pricing page, read on 5 October 2026). LinkedIn does not publish a fixed rate card.

Referrals, banks and free zone partner channels

Referrals cost nothing up front, but you cannot switch them on at will. Three structured versions exist:

  1. Client referrals. Ask every satisfied client at the point of delivery.
  2. Firm to firm. A setup firm meets clients who will need bookkeeping and VAT registration; an accountant meets clients who need PRO work. Agree the terms in writing.
  3. Free zone partner programmes. Several free zones run channel or referral programmes for setup consultants. Meydan Free Zone, for example, asks partners to sign a Channel Partner Agreement and says commissions are paid within 5 days of the partner’s invoice (meydanfz.ae/channel-partner, read on 5 October 2026). Our guide to free zone partner programmes in the UAE compares the programmes.

We did not find published referral terms from UAE banks for service firms. If a bank relationship manager sends you clients, treat it as a private arrangement and get the terms in writing.

Lead generation agencies: retainer or per lead

Firms search for outside help: “lead generation dubai” had 480 searches a month, “lead generation agency” 390 and “b2b lead generation” 320 (Semrush, UAE database, 5 October 2026). Agencies charge in two main ways:

  • Retainer: a fixed monthly fee for running ads, outreach or content. You pay whether or not enquiries arrive.
  • Per lead or per meeting: a price for each enquiry or meeting that meets an agreed definition, so the definition matters most.

Agency prices for UAE professional services are not published on any common basis, so ask for a written quote and check it against this list:

  • What exactly counts as a lead, and who decides when a lead is invalid?
  • Is the lead sold only to you, or to several firms?
  • Is the ad budget included in the fee or billed separately?
  • What is the minimum term and the notice period?
  • Do you own the ad accounts, the landing pages and the contact data when you leave?

Pay-per-lead marketplaces

A marketplace collects requests from clients and passes them to firms. Emirae, which publishes this guide, works this way (emirae.pro/pricing and emirae.pro/for-consultants, read on 5 October 2026):

  • Profile, category listings and offers are free; you can send up to 20 offers in any 24 hours. There is no subscription, monthly fee or commission on your work.
  • You pay once per client, only after the client opens their contact details to you and you confirm: AED 800 for accounting, AED 500 for corporate tax, AED 500 for VAT, AED 400 for company formation, bank account help and legal work, AED 350 for visas, AED 250 for licensing and AED 100 for PRO services.
  • Up to three firms can unlock the same client, and each pays the full price, so you may compete with two others.
  • A bad lead reported within 48 hours gives one free replacement unlock if approved, not a refund. A purchased lead left without a status for 14 days pauses new unlocks.

Other platforms use credits, subscriptions or paid placement; see our guide to B2B lead platforms in the UAE.

Channels compared

Channel Cost type What you pay Speed Control
Google Ads Per click, auction USD 1.30 to 9.87 per click for the searches above (Semrush, UAE, 5 October 2026) Days, once ads are approved High: keywords, budget, emirates, hours
SEO and own website Your time or a writer’s fee No per-click cost Weeks to several months per change (Google) High over content, none over rankings
Google Business Profile Free AED 0 (Google) Weeks, depends on reviews Medium: needs a staffed office
Directories Free profile, paid placement From free; paid tiers per platform Weeks to months Medium: ranking rules belong to the platform
LinkedIn Free pages; ads by auction AED 0 for pages; ad cost not published Months for organic reach High over content and targeting
Referrals and partners Commission or reciprocal work As agreed in writing Slow to build, steady after Low: depends on partners
Lead generation agency Retainer or per lead Not published; written quote Weeks to set up Depends on the contract
Emirae (pay per lead) Per client who opened contacts AED 100 to 800 by category As requests arrive in your categories You choose which requests to answer

Worked example: one company formation client

A setup consultant compares two routes for one new company formation enquiry. Our arithmetic, using the figures above:

  • Google Ads: at USD 9.87 per click and an illustrated 1 in 25 clicks becoming an enquiry, one enquiry costs AED 906.19. That enquiry contacted you, not two competitors at the same time.
  • Emirae: one company formation client who opened contacts to you costs AED 400. Up to two other firms may have paid for the same client.

For PRO services the gap is wider (AED 585.76 illustrated through Ads against AED 100), and for accounting it is closer (AED 704.20 against AED 800). Your own win rate per channel decides the right mix, so track every enquiry by source.

A practical plan for the first 90 days

  1. Days 1 to 14: foundations. Publish one page per service with a price range and contact details. Create a Google Business Profile if your office qualifies, a LinkedIn Company Page and a Service Page. Set up call and form tracking so every enquiry is tagged by source.
  2. Days 1 to 14: free listings. Create free profiles where your category is covered (for example a provider profile on Emirae) and ask first clients for reviews.
  3. Days 15 to 45: one paid test. Run Google Ads on two or three exact searches for your best-margin service, with a fixed daily budget. Reply to every enquiry within the same working day.
  4. Days 15 to 45: partners. Agree written referral terms with two firms that serve the same clients before or after you, and apply to one free zone partner programme if you do company formation.
  5. Days 46 to 90: measure and cut. Work out cost per signed client for each channel, move budget to the cheapest, and keep adding one useful page a week.

Checklist before you spend:

  • Do I know my average first-year fee per client in this category?
  • What is the most I can pay for one signed client and still make money?
  • Can I answer every enquiry within the same working day?
